Founded in 1927 by the legislature, the State Bar of California
is an administrative arm of the California Supreme Court. All
lawyers practicing in California must be members of the State
Bar. The mission of the State Bar: "Preserve and improve our

San Diego County Bar Association

In 1899, the San Diego County Bar Association was
established to further the principles of professionalism,
collegiality and integrity for San Diego lawyers. The bar
association provides San Diego lawyers with a forum for
professional collaboration, support and advancement. With

association is an important resource for San Diego lawyers.

San Diego County Sheriff's Department

The Office of the Sheriff for the County of San Diego has
existed since 1850.  In addition to
general law enforcement
duties for the unincorporated areas of the San Diego County
and certain Cities, the Sheriff's Department handles security
for the local
county jails.  The Sheriff also provides security for
the local courts and is the central repository for restraining
orders and warrants.
